Bio: I am a cultural geographer with a keen interest in the geopolitics of representations mediated by visual technologies. My research has focused on authoritative scientific, lucrative commercial and oppositional ‘popular’ visualizations of indigenous peoples, places, and practices in the Americas. Favorite frameworks for analysis include post-colonial cultural theory, critical geopolitics, and feminist studies of technoscience.
