human geographers include Robert Rundstrom, who works
principally on American Indians; Bret
Wallach, a cultural geographer by pedigree but a
wanderer at heart; Karl
Offen, a political ecologist and Latin Americanist;
and Andrew
Wood, an economic and political geographer working
principally on cities.
Our physical geographers
are Scott Greene,
an applied climatologist, Sally
Gros, an environmental and natural-resources geographer, Bruce
Hoagland, a biogeographer and the coordinator of the
Oklahoma Natural Heritage Inventory, Hans-Joachim
Spaeth, a geoecologist interested in land use and degradation, Andover
Tarhule, a groundwater hydrologist working chiefly
in the Sahel, and Rozemarijn
Tarhule-Lips, a karst geomorphologist specialized in
paleoclimatology.
